Heartburn and Heart Attack Symptoms Are Different

How to differentiate between heartburn and heart attack symptoms can only be done by a medical professional who is able to determine whether a chest pain is from heartburn or from a heart attack.  Though unrelated, these two conditions share pain as the common denominator.  Because acid from the stomach seeps into the esophagus, searing pain is felt.  With a heart attack, there is a restriction of some of the blood vessels in the heart and medical intervention is imperative!  Onset of heart attacks present with the following signs:  tightness or pressure in the chest, debilitating pain towards the neck and pain felt more acutely on the left side. Heartburn symptoms start with a heavy meal, alcohol or caffeinated drinks and is searing in nature, felt from the end of the breastbone into the throat.  Sufferers of both conditions tend to have poor eating habits and lifestyle choices which adversely affect their health.
